The Bible describes supernatural gifts. On a deliverance team, there are usually a wide variety of giftings represented.

“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.” (Joel 2:28-29)

In case you’re unaware, right now is “those days.” And what awesome days they are! The God-of-all-time has given us the gift of dreaming and seeing visions about things we wouldn’t otherwise know. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s the coolest thing since Jesus defied death! We have super powers!

Oh, The Dreams We Dream

I had a dream the other night. It was about losing my only son and youngest daughter. I was in such pain at their loss. In the dream it all seemed so realistic and the pain was more real than I could bear. It caused such grief in me that I woke up crying in the night. Lying next to my husband, he awoke and comforted me. I don’t know if any other 35-year-olds wake up crying anymore, but this wasn’t the first time in my adulthood. I told my husband about the dream and wept some more. I tried to come back to reality. I said, “Please talk to me about something.” I needed to get this dream out of my head. He brought up a subject I was talking to him about several days ago and said, “What are we going to do about Christmas?” But the thought of having Christmas without my darling children pounded in my chest like a heart attack.

Secrets of the Supernatural: Cutting the Curse Line

Breaking the generational curse line between parent and child is quite a gift. It is so simple to do that it can be done in a very laid-back setting. No need for fanfare or showy prayers. Older kids may need an explanation; younger kids may not even notice what you’re doing. Do your best to explain it so they understand. For teen and adult children, even those who don’t follow Jesus, you should explain it in simple terms and then ask their permission to pray for them.

What is a Curse Line?

It is the tie between you and your family and all of the generations before you. All the affects of the sins of the fathers (and mothers) are passed down through each generation, compiling on the next generations.
